1Khatibzadeh: “Devils Summit!”
Islamic Republic Foreign Ministry Spokesman called the 2-day summit in Israel “Devils Summit” and “betrayal to the idea of free Palestine.” Four Arab countries, UAE, Bahrain, Egypt and Morocco, in addition to US and Israel convened in a desert in Israel to hold talks against the Tehran regime. Khatibzadeh warned the countries who “normalize their relations with the occupants of Jerusalem” that it will lead to their demise!
2Salami: “Enemies Are Terrified of Iran!”
At the same time, IRGC Commander-in-Chief threatened the “enemies” and said “they don’t dare to attack Iran. Their fear is eternal.”
3Subsidized Currency for Medicine
The Islamic Consultative Assembly has approved complete removal of the subsidized currency for all uses. According to experts, this would lead to 30% jump in prices of vital medicines across the board. Health Minister has already announced its removal but “maybe not right now!” Mirtajaddini, deputy chair of budget commission at Islamic Consultative Assembly, claimed the government has been given enough money to cover the difference in prices through insurance payments. However, people are worried the insurance companies cannot reimburse them due to explosive inflation.
430 Arrested in Sanandaj’s Nowruz Celebrations
According to human rights organizations, 30 have been arrested since March 19 and taken to an unknown location. 11 have been released on bail, including a 14-year-old and 75-year-old. The Islamic Republic oppressive forces raided the celebration of Nowruz when people were dancing.
5COVID-19 Flares Up
COVID-19 cases and hospitalizations begin to rise in Ardabil, Fars and other provinces of Iran. Health Minister expresses his worry about another wave of patients in the next few weeks. Eynollahi claimed 46% have received their 3rd dose. However, the data from Ministry of Health indicate 26,036,995 (30.99% of Iran population) have taken 3 shots. While none of the “homegrown” vaccines have received international recognition/approval, Eynollahi claimed Nicaragua is the first country to receive 200,000 doses of Iranian vaccines. He added, up to 4million are to be exported.
