There is not a single day without chaos in Islamic Republic. While state-controlled media are busy running the propaganda machine for the regime in all aspects, including economical, political and even health, people are dying in Iran and more are to be sent to slaughter houses! Yesterday, Saeed Namaki had said “health of our students is above all else and if Science Ministry can’t guarantee implementing our rigorous health protocols to hold Konkour on time, then we’ll discuss this in National Task Force to postpone it for another month!” Today, however, in a joint statement, Health Minister and Science Minister, suddenly everything has changed and “for many reasons the postponement of the date was not approved,” but the Governors and other local officials would magically find the place and equipment to “guarantee the health of students”! All of this in the span of 1 day!
Iraj Harirchi, Deputy Health Minister, has said the potency of the virus has increased “3 to 9 times” and even 70% cooperation by people to wear mask is not going to be enough! He said “that must reach 95%” in order for us to have some hope to stop the spread. In the meantime, his boss, Saeed Namaki, the Health Minister, said this Moharram must be the one by “common sense” so “the enemy could not say healthcare system has been a part of petrifaction or has become part of it.” As always, an imaginary “enemy” is what drives the theocratic regime!
Furthermore, Dr Zali, head of Tehran Corona Combating Committee, has warned it’s “impossible” to control the virus in schools and colleges and must be careful on when to reopen them. He also reiterated everybody should refrain from attending any gathering! But apparently it’s OK to hold Moharram mourning ceremonies. Zali continued by saying the stats haven’t changed much since last week and nobody should take this lightly! But again, he didn’t say anything even remotely about Moharram gatherings with thousands of people in samll closed spaces with poor to no ventilation!
Zahra Sadrazam-Nouri, a member of Tehran City Council Health Commission, said the number of cases and deaths would increase in the next few weeks because people are back on streets with Tehran City Council canceling traffic rules, causing people to travel more to the center of the capital!
Sima Sadat Lari, played her usual Spkesperson role in the daily show of the regime and announced the same 26 provinces in red or alarming situation! She also mentioned 2,345 new confirmed COVID-19 cases and 184 deaths in the past 24 hours. 559 cases of which were in Tehran, according to Zali, a quarter of all cases in the country in one city! Similar to what we reported yesterday on Fars. That’s why the Ministry officials refuse providing provincial stats since March 22, it’s easier to manipulate numbers as a whole!
Basic Reproduction Rate (R0) and graphs continue to point towards the uncertain situation in COVID-19 crisis in Iran, with Islamic Republic doing nothing but waiting for a miracle to happen and taking it one day at a time, just like an addict.
