Delta variant continues to ravage throughout Iran, especially the biggest cities including Tehran, Mashhad, Isfahan and Shiraz. Officials at Tehran Corona Combating Committee say COVID-19 deaths have doubled among patients 30-50 years of age due to non-vaccination. Dr. Tavakoli also mentioned the hospitals are full, Tehran is still at the uptick of the fifth wave, more than 10,000 are hospitalized and 130 died of COVID-19 in Tehran alone, on Friday, August 20. He reiterated other officials’ points that the real number of cases and deaths due to Delta are “much higher!” According to citizen reports, Tehran hospitals are admitting patients in the hospitals’ yards or parking garages. One reported about 100 patients on the grounds of Masih Daneshvari hospital.
Head of Tehran Cemetery (Behesht-e-Zahra) made a chilling confession. Mr. Khaal said 40% of COVID-19 deaths in the country, more than 40,000, have happened in the city of Tehran alone! Considering the capital city only comprises of about 12% of Iran population, it is obvious a massacre has happened in Iran in the past 18 months in Iran and it is intensified with the current wave. The Civil Registration Organization data indicated more than 200,000 died of the disease from February 2020 until August 6, 2021. Since August 6 till today, more than 8,700 passed away based on the underreported data of the Islamic Republic Ministry of Health. Dr. Zali has already confessed the regime officials have been lying to the World Health Organization about the statistics just to look good!
Despite critical situation in Mashhad, Muharram gatherings were held which according to official reports, optimistically about 50% of crowd had masks on! The overwhelming majority of mourning assemblies across the country did not follow any COVID-19 restrictions, making the healthcare professionals more disappointed than ever. Gilan‘s hospitalizations continue to rise. Mazandaran has more than 3,000 admitted and the number rises every day. Chaharmahal-Bakhtiari is in “beyond critical” mode. Hormozgan reports 5.5% increase in deaths during the past week. Ardabil is experiencing “black days!” Qazvin officials announced 16 deaths on Friday, setting a new record for the province and a “black Friday” for its residents.
Chaotic vaccination with ineffective vaccines slows even further! There are reports that shortage of vaccines have made vaccination centers to use 1 dose for 2 people in Tehran. The ineffective Sinopharm and COVIran Barekat which are the two major jabs used in Iran, are now going to be even more useless!
According to the Ministry of Health, since February 9, total of 22,007,514 shots have been administered and only 5,531,257 (6.58% of Iran population) received both doses of the vaccines. The gap keeps getting bigger and vaccines’ efficacy reduced as time passes. The social media campaign against Khamenei and his regime continues as people know they are responsible for this crisis.
The Ministry also claimed 544 died of COVID-19 in Iran in the past 24 hours and 24,179 tested positive for the novel coronavirus. The graphs clearly show the ongoing crisis and the catastrophic mismanagement of Islamic Republic in the past 18 months.
