Rouhani released a statement thanking the hosts of Muharram gatherings and “bowed to them” for following and implementing “health protocols”, “Our society shone in accepting responsibility and altruism.” He added, “Muharram like Nowrouz and Ramadan, was an opportunity for Iranians to express their collective rationality and responsibility; Hard days have passed and are passing, but our civic and spiritual reserves from these difficult times will make Iran more capable of following the path.”
He’s following the same propaganda tactics we had mentioned before, getting ready to blame people for the upcoming wave of patients. In a separate meeting with Interior and Health Ministers, he emphasized on getting in line to get approved vaccines into the country. In response to the Ministers’ “concern about travelers, he had reassured them that “travelers should quarantine and be careful” not to spread the disease! If you were so concerned why didn’t you ban traveling for this weekend?! You needed a scapegoat to blame for your incompetence, corruption and mismanagement and would have found one regardless of people traveling or not!
In the meantime and as officials try to prepare everything to blame people and their traveling for the future wave instead of many gatherings in Muharram who hadn’t follow the procedures, some like Ardebil officials announce the number of cases are increasing again. Head of Health Network in Kashan, one of the hard-hit cities in Isfahan province, has said, “Third wave doesn’t need any specific instigator. Wherever there’s a large number of people under a roof, and they don’t follow instructions, the number of cases will increase.” And as we have already proved Muahrram gatherings were not all as the Islamic Republic propaganda machine would like us to believe. Many of them around the country, didn’t follow the health protocols and third wave or increased number of cases and deaths in the next few weeks is on Islamic Republic and nobody else.
Sima Sadat Lari, the Ministry of Health Spokesperson, announced the lowest number of cases and deaths in the past few weeks, and that’s why Rouhani is celebrating the “end of the second wave” and says “travelers shouldn’t cause our healthcare staff and people to feel pressured because them them.” 1,754 new cases and 103 deaths in the past 24 hours should be considered “victorious” for a regime that have been killing 200+ a day according to its ridiculously undercounted stats and manipulated data for the past 4 months and more than 6 months of novel coronavirus sufferings for its people!
The same 28 provinces are mentioned critical and active cases rose again but it looks like there would be a few days of stable or declining number of active cases in their data and graphs, despite the facts on the ground including full hospitals, lowest number of recoveries in months and extremely exhausted hospitals and staff!
