Islamic Republic continues manipulating numbers for Moharram, which is so obvious that nobody believes it. Sima Sadat Lari announces 2,125 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 and 132 deaths in the country while still the same 26 provinces are critical. Hospitals are struggling with overflow of patients and exhausted healthcare staff! One example is Ilam, its Governor said today, in the past 45 days, the number of cases has jumped 3.6 times and deaths have increased 2.2 times compared to the first 4 months of the epidemic (Late Feb – Mid-June).
In the meantime, a group of physicians wrote a letter to Grand Ayatollahs asking them to cancel Moharram gatherings because nothing is getting better, but quite the opposite, the situation is worse and if mourning ceremonies are held, there would be catastrophe nobody can handle. They wrote, “It is impossible to guarantee that all health protocols will be followed by millions of people in small spaces. Even if masks and social distancing is achieved, the chance of spreading the virus is not eliminated. We ask you to stop the gatherings. People could follow Imam Hossein by donating to hospitals and families in need. Hopefully next year we’ll have bigger ceremonies.” However, those same Ayatollahs have already issued their “fatwas” that canceling Moharram is not an option and it is what enemies want!
We have been warning about Islamic Republic intentions to hold ever crowded gatherings even though it is like sending people to slaughter houses but since this if the main month for Ayatollahs in Qom and other mullahs around the country to earn boat load of money, it’s imperative for them not to cancel these ceremonies, no matter what happens after that. And people have been brainwashed for centuries, thinking “Imam Hossein” is the healer and nothing would happen to them if they mourn his death. Immediately after Moharram, if the cases increase to the point that the Ministry of Health couldn’t hide it, like this second wave which they held out till last minute, the regime is ready to blame people for not following its “protocols”!
On the other hand, while officials from top to bottom has taken pride in “not even one person being turned away from hospitals for any reason,” a video surfaced showing a patient was brought out by staff of Goldis Shahin Shahr hospital, Isfahan province, and left at the side of the street just because he couldn’t afford to pay for his care. In the past, Khamenei, Rouhani, Saeed Namaki,…. all have denied anybody being turned away from hospitals. This is not the first time, it’s been standard practice of Islamic Republic but unfortunately, it has never gotten the attention needed because of the state-controlled media. Thanks to social media, those days are over.
Basic Reproduction Rate (R0) and graphs, even though based on highly manipulated data provided by Ministry of Health, still remain the best indicators in showing the unstoppable coronavirus crisis under Islamic Republic ruling!
