Warnings about the next wave of coronavirus in Iran are heard from every corner of the country. Khuzestan officials say the number of cases are increased exponentially and 2 more cities are sealed off! Alborz health authorities report more than 1,000 walk-ins to medical centers which is a spike from days before.
Tehran Corona Combating Committee reported more than 3% increase in cases in the capital from the day before. Dr. Zali said the infections pattern has changed and younger people are involved more than before, even in the 0-10-year-old category, the numbers are staggering. He emphasized public transportation, shopping malls and restaurants are hot spots for spread of coronavirus in Tehran. Fars officials issued the “new coronavirus peak warning” for hospitals and their staff. These red alarms are in addition to previous daily reports.
Head of National Epidemiology Center said the fourth peak could be prevented if the protocols are taken seriously. Dr. Souri expressed his concern over the fragile situation in the country and said evidence based decision making should be used for reopenings as premature resumption of work is dangerous and wrong. He announced “rapid response teams” are formed in the Ministry of Health to assess and control local coronavirus resurgence with the help of local authorities, before it becomes a national issue. He added restrictions must continue and not relaxed! However, the coloring scheme across the country by using arbitrary numbers has caused lax relaxations and encourage people in “low risk” areas that everything is back to normal. The vicious cycle keeps rolling.
Vaccination is supposed to start from Tuesday, February 9, at the rate of 1,000 doses a day. According to FDA Spokesman, “few thousand doses of Sputnik V have been imported which we start the process by inoculating ICU staff across the country as first priority.” Jahanpur continued, COVPars, manufactured by Razi Serum Institute, starts its first phase of human trials today by recruiting 130 volunteers for this phase. After the third phase is complete, it will enter the mass production stage.
In the meantime, “father of Islamic medicine” declared vaccination as a tool to change genome of vaccinated people, causing them to become homosexual whom should be avoided at all costs!
Sima Sadat Lari presented her daily undercounted and engineered data. She announced 57 COVID-19 deaths and 7,065 coronavirus infections in the past 24 hours in Iran. That’s another spike in cases. Testing remains in the same range. She reported 0 red, 36 orange, 178 yellow and 234 blue counties across Iran. Active cases continue to rise, as seen on the graphs.
