While WHO warns about a tougher second-year of coronavirus pandemic due to its different variants and how fast it’s spreading, Islamic Republic officials brag about the declining numbers in their manipulated stats and only “warn” people that COVID-19 may have another peak soon but their actions with relaxing restrictions and reopening ALL businesses and schools are the opposite! Today, Iraj Harirchi, Deputy Health Minister, said, “Number of suspected cases is increasing again and this should be a warning sign.” He continued, “Fortunately number of cases, admissions and deaths has decreased by 80%.”
Widespread blackouts across the country continues, with Islamic Republic officials contradicting each other. Electricity Company says it’s due to shortage of gas, Gas Company says that’s not true, while Spokesman for Electricity Company says it’s due to increased usage! Power outages have raised concerns that together with air pollution may be a participating factor in increasing number of cases and deaths in near future.
Saeed Namaki confirms increasing number of suspected cases and walk-ins saying the next peak will be even worse if people don’t follow the protocols! He again promises “we will import coronavirus vaccine from a reliable source soon.” He didn’t offer more details on the time or the origin of the vaccine or quantity! The Health Minister said, for the many times, “Rouhani ordered Central Bank to provide us with enough currency to purchase vaccines. But we will have the domestic one by spring.” That deadline was summer, before.
Air pollution in the capital and other metropolitan areas has become a major concern for healthcare industry. Dr. Zali, head of Corona Combating Committee in Tehran, said, “Air pollution has caused increasing number of patients, both COVID-19 and other diseases. We have requested for closure of Tehran from authorities and believe that might help.”
According to the daily undercounted data of Ministry of Health, active cases have increased for the first time in weeks, alarming there might be a start of a new peak in Iran. Sima Sadat Lari announced 97 deaths due to COVID-19 in Iran in the past 24 hours while 6,317 tested positive for the novel coronavirus. Testing remains in the same range. Mazandaran and Golestan continue to be critical with no solution in sight!
Basic Reproduction Rate (R0) and graphs show 11 months of disastrous management by Islamic Republic! According to the officials, Iranians have to struggle and wait for a few more months, because Khamenei “doesn’t trust Ameicans.”
