Dr. Masoud Mardani, a member of National Task Force, warns officials not to reopen schools and businesses prematurely as this may bring on the novel coronavirus to its next peak! He said, “We did the same mistake in April and it got us to close to 500 COVID-19 deaths a day.” Head of Epidemiology Committee of National Task Force says he’s very worried about reopening schools and strongly objects this decision! Hamid Souri said, “Maybe in a few weeks we could discuss this. Controlling kids at schools is almost impossible. They’re carriers who can infect their families.” National Task Force has decided to reopen schools in all areas except “red” areas!
On the other hand, Ministry of Education officials say 5million students have been deprived of studies due to COVID-19 crisis in Iran and not having access to smart phones, tablets or internet! In one instance, West Azerbaijan officials said 108,000 students have not had access to online learning since the coronavirus epidemic began in Iran! Opening schools will have devastating complications and so does not reopening them. The only solution is to stop the spread of the virus by vaccine which have been banned by the Islamic Republic “Supreme Leader,” Khamenei.
Air pollution continues to be a problem while power outages in some areas are prevalent too. National Weather Services has predicted some winds for tomorrow which may help with the poisoned air situation.

That shows an increase in cases in the past week. Active cases rose by 990. Testing decreased by more than 2,000 compared to yesterday.

Khamenei representatives around the country repeated the “Supreme Leader’s” rhetoric about complications of US and UK made coronavirus vaccines, asking media to promote the homegrown vaccine!
