The Ministry of Health data show a rise in number of cases and deaths in the past 24 hours in Iran. According to Sima Sadat Lari, 93 have died of COVID-19 and 6,204 tested positive for the novel coronavirus. The statistics in Iran has been criticized, proved to be manipulated and according to some officials, the real numbers are be as high as 3-4 times! Testing has reached 55,000 a day, far away from 100,000 promised by the authorities. Mazandaran remains in critical condition while other provinces warn about the next peak!
Head of Tehran Corona Combating Committee raises concern over the increasing number of walk-ins and admissions in the capital. Dr. Zali reported 284 hospitalizations in the past 24 hours which shows 4.8% increase compared to the day before. He also warned about the rise in death rate among children below 10! He asked the authorities not to prematurely reopen businesses as it will cause a devastating situation in Tehran. He added, “If this path continues, we’ll have the next peak in the next 2 weeks.” Zali continued, in Tehran, in the past 24hrs, 980,000 used the Metro system, alone!
Fars reports increasing number of cases but at the same time, Friday Prayers Committee announced the Sermon will be held in Shiraz! Abadan Medical University voiced their concern over spike in cases in Khuzestan. Head of the university said, “the next peak is inevitable, only 30% of people wear mask.”

Zonnour claimed, “There was no remorse in Raisi’s tone, instead of an apology, he insulted people of Qom even more by saying they misunderstood him.” Dr. Raisi, in the weekly meeting of National Task Force, reported only 30% of Qom residents wear mask and the organizers of Friday Prayers have done a terrible job of abiding the health protocols.
Saeed Namaki halfheartedly supported his deputy, Raisi! In a meeting in Hormozgan, he said, “Health family is bereaving. Qom is the origin of resistance!” He also claimed Razi Institution COVID-19 vaccine has been approved to start its human trials from next week. He claimed COVIran Barekat vaccine is continuing its trial phases successfully. On the Cuban vaccine, he said it should be ready to be used by the middle of Spring!
