The novel coronavirus couldn’t have possibly found a better environment to spread and kill people left and right! Islamic Republic and its inaction is helping COVID-19 enormously. While all officials keep blaming people to traveling and holding gatherings, calling these 2 of the most important reasons for the surge in cases and deaths in the country, they still haven’t impose any travel restriction between provinces. And as for gatherings, people are tired of staying at home for 5 months without contact with others! Islamic Republic should have followed its own experts’ advice and quarantined Qom and Gilan for a few weeks, like what they did in almost all other countries around the world, right when the health officials in Iran were laughing at them and saying “our protocols are best.” Now, people and healthcare system are exhausted, increasing the fatality of the disease, and this vicious cycle keep on going. Despite their warnings about gatherings and threatening to execute people who cause spread and death of somebody by coronavirus, Islamic Republic officials are contemplating about how to “mourn 3rd Shia Imam” in August (during Moharram-Safar months).
Sima Sadat Lari confirmed 25 provinces in red or alarming situation. That means more than 80% of the country. She also confirmed 179 deaths and 2,2521 new cases in the past 24 hours based on whatever scale they have, because there’s a huge gap between Ministry’s fake and undercounted numbers and local reports of full hospitals across the country. Iraj Harirchi said 20% of daily deaths in the country is because of COVID-19. Considering there are more than 1,050 deaths a day, that equals to more than 210 deaths every day due to the novel coronavirus! And that’s a quote from Deputy Health Minister. Deputy Health Minister in Health Affairs, Raisi, said the virus has gone through a mutation accelerating its spread. He said if it used to infect 2-3 people at once, it’s 8-10 people now. He claimed this mutation has had no effect on its mortality rate!
In the meantime, high risk businesses and all gatherings are banned in Tehran. According to Tehran Governor, 4,000 COVID-19 patients are currently admitted in Tehran hospitals which is the highest ever since the onset of the outbreak in Iran. He also announced Friday Prayers across Tehran province are canceled this week.
Moreover, Shiraz was the bearer of worse news. 4 people are admitted in one of the hospitals in the city who have concurrently been diagnosed with COVID-19 and flu. Considering how COVID-19 has been managed for MONTHS, concurrent infections with flu would definitely cause healthcare system in the country to collapse and more deaths will occur unless a treatment is discovered by then.
The basic reproduction rate (R0) has increased 0.02 points and other graphs indicate the human catastrophe which started on Feb 19 and hasn’t stopped or slowed down yet, despite using engineered data by Islamic Republic.
