Sima Sadat Lari went back on her usual track of deception, announced 10 provinces in red status while the other 15 she used to announce for a couple days have dropped off the list of “alarming” provinces. However, she did say West Azerbaijan, Kermanshah, Kurdistan and Hormozgan have reported less cases, admissions and deaths. While a faculty member of Ahvaz’s Medical University, Dr Abazar Parsi, said Khuzestan is still critical and in “red” status on TV, Lari seems to have “forgotten” to mention it among the red provinces. Hiding the truth from people has been one of the main reasons Iran is in crisis for more than 150 days but Islamic Republic officials continue playing with people’s lives to save face! 2,379 new cases and 183 deaths since yesterday were another part of Ministry of Health Spokesman’s press release, this morning.
While Lari claims cases have decreased in West Azerbaijan, the Governor has extended the restrictions in the province for another week due to alarming situation. Islamic Republic officials insist people must wear mask and it’s become mandatory for 2 weeks now but the prices of different kinds of masks have soared and in some provinces, they are nowhere to be found. Head of Food & Drug Administrations has sent a letter to Acting Minister of Industries, Mines and Trades asking him to provide the necessary material for the factories to make enough masks and control the hiking price. He also warned the Acting Minister that some hospitals have had shortage of masks in the past week which could worsen the catastrophe. But of course, none of these would stop the regime officials to blame people for not wearing mask! Or claim that they have been producing so much that they were one of the biggest “exporters” in the region!
In the meantime, another official from Ministry of Health said Tehran is in alarming situation and to control the spread of the virus, the new restrictions would go into effect from tomorrow, July 18. While we reported on this yesterday, but Sima Sadat Lari forgot to mention Tehran as a red/alarming province too.
The theocratic regime doesn’t want to miss the most important time-period of the year to promote its agenda, Moharram. The first 10 days Moharram, starting Aug 20, would be crucial to for the regime to send the right message to its more religious followers, asking them “to be patient and whatever goes on, it would be OK at the end, as the oppressor (US and its sanctions) will collapse soon.” That’s why Rouhani has given orders to the Interior Minister to devise a plan as soon as possible so people could gather and “mourn the 3rd Shia Imam”.
