COVID-19 is spreading faster than it started in late February, when the Islamic Republic officials realized they couldn’t hide it anymore. 135 days later, Sima Sadat Lari, the Ministry of Health Spokesperson, doesn’t even bother naming the “red” provinces and just says, “Unfortunately, the admissions across the country have increased. All provinces mentioned yesterday, remain at the same status.” However, she failed to mention addition of a few more status into the ranks of “red” or even “beyond red” as some provincial officials would call it! For example, Hamedan, Ardebil, Ilam and Lorestan are officially declared red and some provinces such as South Khorasan, Sistan-Baluchestan, Hormozgan, Zanjan and Lorestan are in urgent need of additional ICU beds!
Some provinces such as Alborz and Hamedan have requested National Task Force to reimpose certain restrictions in their provinces. Although, earlier, there were reports of allowing local authorities to enforce those rules, apparently, that was another lie by Islamic Republic top officials. Alborz Governor said, “We have suggested closing of libraries, restaurants, gyms, pools, barbershops, hair salons, movie theaters, schools, universities, theme parks,…. which after approval, we would announce them!” This means ALL restrictions to be back while a few of these were lifted only a couple weeks ago! While the government has said it’s not possible to lock down the whole country, provincial closures haven’t happened in a large scale either! Travel restrictions between provinces which is the biggest cause of the fast spread has not been imposed yet, even when all kinds of records have been broken already.
In addition to manipulation and engineering of their statistics, the limitation of testing such as no test for under 60, with no preexisting conditions and asymptomatic people in contact with confirmed cases, graphs show the number of tests is reduced in the past 4 consecutive days! Another way of hiding the true scale of the catastrophe. Most of the current situation and recent deaths could have been prevented if the regime hadn’t lifted restrictions so fast and prematurely, hadn’t colored the country with its brush, didn’t want to save face, consider the crisis as a soccer match or insisting on opening shrines and holding Friday Prayers in “yellow” cities! The ideological mullahs who have been using religion to stay in power, have been trying to overcome the epidemic with prayers and propaganda!
The list of mistakes made by the theocratic and tyrannical regime goes on and on which we have mentioned in our daily reports since the epidemic’s onset! 148 more Iranians were the cost of those mistakes in the past 24 hours, and 2,652 new cases were added to the tally of infections. Rouhani continues to brag about his administrations’ achievements and today said, “Speaking based on statistics and timing has always been a dream of mine.” It would be nice to know what he thinks of more than 11,000 people killed due to his and his regime’s incompetency as a statistic recorded in history!
