Islamic Republic broke another record and one of Saeed Namaki’s predictions finally came true today. The highest death toll in a day with 229 deaths was reported which previously was accomplished by the regime on July 9 with 221. The number of cases has also increased compared to yesterday, even based on the widely manipulated and suspicious stats by Ministry of Health. Sima Sadat Lari, the Spokesperson, confirmed 2,625 new cases since yesterday. She named 12 provinces in “red” and 13 in “alarming” situation but still included Tehran in the “alarming” category despite its horrifying situation, with full hospitals and whispers about closing down the Subway system altogether. Fars also reports 90% of its hospital beds occupied. Markazi Governor says he would impose certain restrictions in Arak.
Sadat Lari, however, added a few more provinces to the red list including, West Azerbaijan, Alborz, and Lorestan while omitting Khorasan Razavi and moving Hormozgan to the “alarming” list. Sistan-Baluchestan, Markazi, Qazvin, Semnan, North and South Khorasan are new additions to the “alarming” list too. That’s more than 90% of Iran’s population in critical conditions but Islamic Republic keeps looking for “plans” for moharram gatherings. Head of Islamic Propaganda Organization has already said the mourning for “Imam Hossein” is not something to be suspended, referring to a Grand Ayatollah fatwa. Gatherings where they believe they should go without a mask:
On the other hand, the chaos in Islamic Republic management of the crisis doesn’t end. Rouhani, President of the regime, on national TV said according to their estimates about 25,000,000 Iranians have contracted the virus and 30-35 million more are at risk of getting it. Immediately after that officials have tried to explain it somehow, saying it was based on “serologic tests”,… But Raisi, Deputy Health Minister in Health Affairs, rejected Rouhani’s numbers saying they’re not based on science and if those numbers were correct more than 3,000,000 must have been admitted to hospitals while Iran only has about 110,000 hospital beds, “did the rest stayed on the streets?” He continued by saying when only about 14.7million around the world have been confirmed, how come a single country could have that many cases?! “We should provide numbers based on scientific data.” Basically saying, the President doesn’t know what he’s talking about and shouldn’t give out these numbers which were based on a mathematical model and not actual diagnostic tests.
The devastating impact of novel coronavirus on healthcare professionals and staff continue to be one of the main problems in the country. Tabriz’s Medical University official reports more than 1,500 cases of infection among healthcare staff in East Azerbaijan hospitals which has overwhelmed the system. He also warned about the ongoing crisis in the province for more than 5 months saying this has caused exhaustion of nurses and hospital workers while it’s leading to full hospitals and complete collapse of the system. He said 25% of COVID-19 patients in East Azerbaijan are admitted in ICUs!
The Basic Reproduction Rate (R0) and graphs indicate unstoppable acceleration of the virus while Islamic Republic continue to blame people and media are quiet about regime’s mismanagement in the past 5 months leading to thousands of deaths in Iran. The number of active cases is also on the rise, while recoveries are decreased and admissions increased.
