Another day with Islamic Republic officials’ absurd comments and statements, from top to bottom. It takes a book series to include every contradictory statement they make or lies they tell, just about the coronavirus pandemic. For example, today, President of Islamic Republic has said some preposterous things which is beyond this daily report to include all of them. However, a few of them are mentioned. Mr. Rouhani at a meeting with heads of specialized committees of the National Corona Combating Task Force has once again blamed everything on people and said, investigations and researches have shown that “lifting restrictions and reopenings had no impact on the virus surge in the second wave but it was the people not following health instructions, attending gatherings like funerals and weddings because they didn’t take the disease seriously.”
Every bit of this statement is contradictory to health experts, Ministry of Health officials, politicians and Rouhani’s statements in the past few weeks. Epidemiologists attributed the surge to premature reopening of the country. Dr Zali, head of Tehran’s Corona Combating Committee, had warned about more cases and deaths by lifting restrictions. “Representatives” at Islamic Consultancy Assembly had warned and criticized the early reopenings, and reporters have warned the “representatives” to speak up! Rouhani himself had ordered others not to call the soaring number “second wave”. Moreover, early “going back to normal” situation itself, has a message for the mass population: Everything is NORMAL! Apart from all that, even Rouhani saying that statement implies that he knows everybody blames the government, not the people!
Hassan Rouhani is the killer-in-chief and doesn’t want to stop there! He, who has always been part of Islamic Republic’s crimes in the past 41 years, insisted on the “spiritual an ritual” aspects of Moharram mourning, and said “It’s a must have” and will be carried out under “health protocols.” The same protocols which have killed more than 1,800 people in 9 days, based on Ministry’s false and manipulated data. He also can’t stop praising himself and the regime, saying WHO has “thanked us” for devising the best “protocols and plans” to contain the virus. Sima Sadat Lari, like usual, announced the red and alarming provinces, 2,621 new cases of COVID-19 and 221 deaths in the past 24 hours. She announced Qazvin as “alarming” while its capital and its 2nd biggest city are in “red” status according to the Governor. Markazi was also mentioned in “alarming” while Friday Prayers is canceled in all of the province, which is only canceled in “red” regions. She says the cases continue to rise in most of the country, especially Khorasan Razavi, while earlier, Rouhani had said, “We see decline in cases in most of the country.”
The Basic Reproduction Rate (R0) is alarming while graphs have been the perfect indicator of the whole ongoing crisis from the beginning. Islamic Republic keeps watching and making the situation worse! The shortages continue to make hospitals struggle and more healthcare staff suffer from contracting the disease.
