Islamic Republic Ministry of Health announced 196 deaths and 2,363 new cases of COVID-19 in the past 24 hours. Sima Sadat Lari also mentioned the same 26 provinces as yesterday in the “red” and “alarming” regions, while the most populous cities and provinces remain in the “red” category, including Tehran, Karaj, Isfahan, Shiraz, Mashhad and Tabriz! Mazandaran, Zanjan, Tehran, Isfahan, Mashhad, particularly, report increasing number of admissions. One of the main points of “pride” for Islamic Republic in “controlling” the novel coronavirus crisis has been the “death rate”, which is fading away by the day. According to suspicious and manipulated data by the Ministry, that rate has increased to 5.8%, while that rate is decreasing in the rest of the world!
Rouhani in cabinet meeting told many lies as usual and praised its administration and Islamic Republic as if they’re the best government in the world and there’s nothing wrong in Iran! In part of his speech, he put an end to speculations and made it clear that Moharram mourning ceremonies would be held without a doubt, of course, he used the magic phrase, “by following the health protocols.” This phrase has been used by him and other regime officials since late March, and especially since the reopening of the country on April 11! However, the results are obvious, non-stop worsening crisis for more than 160 days!
Furthermore, the Islamic Republic President ordered the Interior and Health Ministers to come up with “punishments” for the people who don’t follow the instructions, after nearly 6 months of catastrophe! At this time, any employee without a mask or violating any health protocol will be marked as absent and not allowed in the building. Apparently, they want to describe new “crime and punishment” code regarding the COVID-19 epidemic.
In the meantime, an official from Iran Medical Council said “we should be careful not to exhaust the healthcare staff.” However, according to officials from across the country, all hospitals and their staff are overwhelmed with flood of patients, especially in underdeveloped provinces. On the other hand, Dr Ali Fatahi said more than 6,000 healthcare workers have contracted the coronavirus and 140 have lost their lives to COVID-19.
Basic Reproduction Rate (R0) and graphs indicate the ongoing crisis as Islamic Republic plays war games in the Persian Gulf. Critical and active cases have increased in the past few days even based on the stats provided by the regime. If they would check their own data, they’ll know the catastrophe would only get worse if Moharram gatherings are held!
