Iran Coronavirus June 19 – The Rise of Death

COVID-19 has killed 120 more Iranians but Islamic Republic must hold its Friday Prayers in Tabriz, one of the new epicenters in the country. Media blackout continues as Iranians suffer.

While everybody in politics is focused mostly on IAEA’s report, meeting and Islamic Republic’s irresponsibility and dishonesty to keep on with its obligations, or how Gholamreza Mansouri ended up dead in Romania, based on the fake and engineered data from Ministry of Health, 120 more Iranians have died of COVID-19 in total media blackout. The international organizations, including WHO, human rights organizations and NGOs must hold the regime accountable because even after more than 600 deaths in the past 5 days, it is holding Friday Prayers in one of the new epicenters, Tabriz, East Azerbaijan. Persian language media which operate outside Iran are also silent on regime’s mismanagement and gross negligence in killing its own citizens.

Khuzestan, Bushehr, Sistan-Baluchestan, Kurdistan, Kermanshah, and Hormozgan remain critical according to Sima Sadat Lari. However, as is her pattern, many other provinces have fallen off the list, including, Lorestan, Khorasan Razavi, Fars, Isfahan, South Khorasan, West Azerbaijan, Zanjan and so on!A new trend is COVID-19 in children. A 9 year-old died of the disease yesterday in Bandar Abbas, Hormozgan, and more and more children and young adults are being admitted to hospitals and ICU wards. An alarm should go off in every health expert’s head around the world!

Just like we reported before, Khuzestan is facing the same problems as Qom in the outset of the epidemic. In Khoramshahr, people are forced to carry and bury their loved ones themselves, because some hospitals refuse to do the deed. The Special Governor to Khoramshahr said, “This is illegal and we will put an end to it. There shouldn’t be any charge for this service.” Inadvertently, confirming the reports that some are charging people to bury COVID-19 victims!

East Azerbaijan isn’t passing better days either. An official in Center for Infectious Disease in the province said, after each wedding, there are about 50 new cases confirmed. Yet again, Friday Prayer must be held, where many more people are in contact with each other, especially if it is in an indoor space, because people may die without it! Or wait, Islamic Republic has no meaning without a podium to shout its ideology every week, it’s not about people, it’s about how the regime gets to keep its power and income!

Friday, the weekend in Iran, and as if there’s nothing wrong in the country, officials are off today too. However, tomorrow, in the National Task Force meeting, Rouhani would once again blame everything on people and say, “Take it seriously or more restrictions would be imposed. However, we must work too. Therefore, following health protocols and social distancing instructions,” this and that businesses could reopen in “red” or “yellow” areas! Just as usual, say something but do something else approach.

Since yesterday, 2,615 more people were confirmed and 120 died of this grim disease. Reproduction rate (R0) and other statistical factors depict even worse days are ahead of us and media blackout doesn’t help! It just looks like everybody is cooperating to have a human catastrophe in Iran, even worse that what we’ve already had.
R0: 1.26
Total: 200,262 (+2,615)
Dead: 9,392 (+120)
Healed: 159,192
Critical: 2,833 (+38)
Admitted: 31,678 (+294)
Tests: 1,370,718 (Number of labs wasn’t mentioned in today’s news. Officials may have finally figured out there are discrepancies when they lie.)
