Friday, weekend, no press conference or meeting held other than Qazvin’s Corona Combating Committee which Harirchi, Deputy Health Minister, attended. After the meeting, he answered a few questions, including opening of religious locations and mosques, “We may open them in the 116 “white” counties. It will be decided on Sunday, May 3 in the National Task Force.” He also said, “Qazvin and Alborz, despite being focal points of COVID-19, have 40-65% decrease in admissions and deaths compared to the peak period.” He continued, “We evaluate every county’s situation every 5 days to see if they would remain “white”.”
However, novel coronavirus continues to infest Mazandaran. Mazandaran University of Medical Sciences announces increased number of admissions, and admissions surpassing the recovered, 93 compared to 65, respectively. Babol University of Medical Sciences admits 20% more COVID-19 patients and for the first time in 2 weeks, the number is in the 3 digits! This is just one city, if we assume the same for most parts of the country, the cases have increased and not declined, contrary to what Rouhani and his administration claim! The million dollar question is: the cases are increased or decreased? The crisis is under control or not?
1006 new cases and 63 deaths in the past 24 hours were confirmed. Even with their own numbers, Graphs show consistent growth factors of more than 1 and median reproduction rate of 1.17 indicating the an ongoing crisis.
Reproduction Rate (R0): 1.17
Tests: 475,023 at 130 labs
Iran International Death Toll: 13,193 (Last updated on April 25)
The crisis is ongoing and the Islamic Republic officials will try to cover it up. But death is not something you can cheat on with lies!
