Khuzestan, Bushehr, Ardebil, Gilan and now Mashhad! This is a short list from 4 corners of the country which its officials continue insisting everything is under control! Mashhad’s Medical University Spokesman says according to the new criteria by the Ministry, Mashhad is back to “red” designation. This is just 2 days after the holy shrine in the second biggest city of Iran has reopened. At the same time, universities across the country are ordered to reopen on June 6. Another way of infecting more people, the one thing Islamic Republic doesn’t care about!
Iran International has gained access to a document from Ahvaz’s Jundishapur Medical University where Mohammad Alavi calls “belittling the disease after lifting restrictions” which has caused people not to take COVID-19 seriously, and “enacting smart social distancing” as two of the most important reasons for the virus peak in Khuzestan. He also added “not following the protocols” by people and “attending gatherings such as funerals and weddings” as two other reasons for this crisis. In another part of this document, the official points to “manpower refresh” as one of the items to be done to combat the disease. Despite the need for fresh healthcare staff, the Ministry has laid off all contract nurses or forced them into another short-term contract. There were also reports of 38 nurses fired in Dezful, Khuzestan.
The brutality of regime against citizen reporters continues. 30 have been arrested and 265 admins of telegram channels, Whats App groups and local websites have been warned by FATA (cyber police)! They have been charged with “disruption of public opinion” and “spreading rumors about Coronavirus.”
