While most countries are moving towards 3 doses of their reliable mRNA vaccines to all above 12, and in the US, even children above 5 are receiving Pfizer or Moderna, Islamic Republic is still focusing on the first dose of people with the ineffective Sinoparm and using the same unproven vaccine for students 12-17. According to the WHO, 3 doses of Sinopharm are needed for “full vaccination” while today’s Ministry of Health data indicate only 705,196 (0.83% of Iran population) have been jabbed 3 times against COVID-19 with these vaccines.
Slow and late vaccination, majority with the questionable Sinopharm, and the failed “domestic” ones, together with premature reopening of schools, businesses, borders,… have sounded the alarm in eastern provinces, where neighboring Afghanistan and Pakistan have reported surging numbers with Delta Plus variant. In the meantime, the Islamic Republic propaganda machine has begun laying the groundwork to blame people for the upcoming wave of COVID-19 in Iran, by reporting on 48% compliance with the protocols while neglecting the mismanagement and failures of the regime.
In some regions, such as Sardasht, West Azerbaijan, physicians struggle to keep the patients alive due to shortage of normal saline and vital medicines such as norepinephrine. A doctor blaming the mismanagement of the healthcare system and owing so much money to manufacturers that they refuse to provide any more merchandise to the hospitals. In the meantime, the regime has used billions of dollars in its failed “domestic vaccines” charade.
The Ministry of Health Spokesperson claimed 100 have died of COVID-19 in the past 24 hours and 5,784 tested positive for the novel coronavirus. Professor of Epidemiology at Tehran University believes these numbers must be multiplied by 7 and Civil Registration Organization data show more than 308,000 have died of the disease since February 2020.
