Iran Coronavirus November 5, 2021 – Delta Plus, Russians & Schools

Islamic Republic allowed Russian visitors to enter Iran amid concerns about the Delta Plus in Russia and the sixth wave of COVID-19.

Head of Virology Research Center at the Beheshti University in Tehran explained that Delta Plus is 20% more transmissible than the original Delta variant. This strain has caused Russia to go on strict lockdown and number of cases to soar in the country. Dr. Naji warned about the variant being in Iran which could cause a mayhem. He emphasized the vaccines in Iran are not as effective as other countries, so at least 90% of the population must be fully vaccinated to reach any kind of herd immunity. He added other protocols must remain in place until that time.

However, the Islamic Republic has already allowed visitors from Russia into the country, who might be carriers of the Delta Plus and will be visiting Kerman, Shiraz and Isfahan for a week! The regime also mandated in-person classes for high school students from tomorrow, November 6. Khuzestan officials admitted that 34% of students 12-17 have not received any COVID-19 vaccine and many have only been inoculated with 1 dose of the unapproved and ineffective Sinopharm. Other provinces follow the same ratio. According to officials, on November 22, all students must attend schools in person!

According to the official data, since February 9, only 37,784,542 (44.98% of Iran population) have received 2 doses of these vaccines. Majority of whom have been inoculated with the Chinese Sinopharm, which WHO recognizes 3 doses of it as “fully vaccinated!”

Meanwhile, Deputy Health Minister in Nursing announced that since the epidemic began in Iran in February 2020, 80% of nursing staff have been infected with the novel coronavirus and many still suffer from its effects.

The Ministry of Health Spokesperson claimed 132 have died of COVID-19 in the past 24 hours and 8,633 tested positive for the novel coronavirus. Professor of Epidemiology at Tehran University believes these numbers must be multiplied by 7 and Civil Registration Organization data show more than 305,000 have died of the disease since February 2020. Graphs illustrate the ongoing crisis in Iran and forming of the new wave.
