Iran Coronavirus October 20, 2021 – Encouraging vs Punishing Approach

Islamic Republic insists on reopening schools and universities in Iran while sixth wave of COVID-19 is here, and less than half of students are fully vaccinated with an unverified vaccine.

COVID-19, probably with new variants and Delta, is shaping up its sixth wave in Iran, the country with most number of waves in the world, thanks to the Islamic Republic’s deliberate mismanagement, banning of reliable US and UK made vaccines by its “Supreme Leader” and of course, lies, empty promises and failed “domestic vaccine” projects, such as Fakhra. As soon as the FakhraVac project manager complained, Islamic Republic FDA promised to preorder 3m doses of Fakhara and COVPars, even though according to the Health Minister, total of 180m doses of vaccines would be imported, enough for everyone eligible!

Meanwhile, the Islamic Republic officials insist on reopening schools and universities. While only average of 40% of students 12-17 years old have received 2 doses of the unverified and ineffective Sinopharm, schools with less than 300 students will hold in-person classes from October 25. In the meantime, the country is “being prepared” for the next wave of the deadly disease.

Islamic Republic Ministry of Health claims total of 76,517,781 shots have been administered in Iran since February 9, while only 26,806,374 (31.91% of population) have received the second dose of these vaccines as well. The regime has begun banning all unvaccinated workers from entering their workplace, however, an official at the Ministry claims, “Our approach is encouraging people to vaccinate, not punishing them!”

The Ministry of Health Spokesperson claimed 162 have died of COVID-19 in the past 24 hours and 11,770 tested positive for the novel coronavirus. Professor of Epidemiology at Tehran University believes these numbers must be multiplied by 7 and Civil Registration Organization data show more than 298,000 have died of the disease since February 2020. Graphs illustrate the ongoing crisis in Iran and forming of the new wave.
