The gap between the people of Iran and the ruling Islamic regime keeps getting bigger by the day. Today, Islamic Republic Health Minister implicitly admitted to the distrust of people in the regime, even if in COVID-19 vaccination. As reported by IranTrue, parents and students are skeptical about administering Sinopharm and that forced Eynollahi to cast his 12-year-old grandson in a charade in front of cameras where he received a jab, supposedly Sinopharm.
The gap widens when contradictory statements and lies are exposed. Mr. Health Minister had announced Pfizer would be imported for pregnant women, then he fired the person advocating for the purchase and the “scientific committee of national COVID-19 vaccination commission” announced there is no need to Pfizer when Sinopharm is readily available and Pfizer is too problematic due to its storage and cold chain processes. However, today, Dr. Ghane’ei, member of the COVID-19 vaccination commission, claimed the reason for not importing Pfizer was that it wasn’t proven to be effective on pregnant women. “We had to use a vaccine that has passed its tests on the pregnant.” He did not mention when and where the results of Sinopharm studies on moms-to-be have been published, because it has never happened.
In another revelation, Arbaeen pilgrims with positive test results went up to 337 out of 8,400 PCR tests! While yesterday, the total number of trips was announced at more than 395,000, today it was about 337,000!
On the other hand, Hormozgan officials reported continuous rise in number of cases in several cities, warning about the start of the new wave. Head of Shiraz Medical University, too, expressed his worry about consistently high number of outpatients in Fars province clinics. Head of Zanjan Medical University explicitly announced Iran will experience the sixth wave of COVID-19 in November.
The Ministry of Health claimed total of 57,677,014 shots have been administered in Iran since February 9, and only 16,715,619 (19.89% of population) have received both doses of ineffective vaccines, majorly Sinopharm and COVIran Barekat, which are useless against Delta and other newly discovered coronavirus strains.
The Spokesperson for the Ministry also claimed 229 died of COVID-19 in the past 24 hours and 12,428 tested positive for the novel coronavirus. Professor of Epidemiology at Tehran University believes these numbers must be multiplied by 7 and Civil Registration Organization data show more than 288,000 have died of the disease since February 202. Graphs illustrate the ongoing humanitarian catastrophe in the past 19 months.
