Schools starting on Saturday, September 5, and Khamenei was on video conference with Education and Training officials from across the country showing his disappointment that some aspects of training young “revolutionaries” have been neglected, especially with cyberspace becoming dominant in education, considering COVID-19! However, according to the Education Ministry, students in red cities are not to go to school in person but can use the “Shad Network”, a network created for virtual classes. At the same time, a deputy at the Ministry has confirmed that more than 3,220,000 students don’t have access to a tablet or even a cell phone to use this network running the risk of being behind on their schooling. In the meantime, Khamenei is more worried that students would have access to free flow of information and learn more about freedom and his brutal regime!
On the other hand, teachers, students and parents are extremely worried about COVID-19 spread in the poorly maintained schools in the Islamic Republic. Particularly, in fall and winter when there is not proper ventilation in the classrooms which could make schools as a petri dish and new hot spots across the country, considering common cold, allergies, flu and COVID-19 infections altogether.
The COVID-in-Chief also thanked people and hosts of Muharram gatherings for their following of the “strict health protocols” and called it a “historic moment to be remembered.” We have already reported and even analyzed the “protocols” devised by the Islamic Republic as an scapegoat and nothing else, because there’s no will at implementing them properly.
Furthermore, Ministry of Health Spokesperson announced 101 deaths and 1,682 cases in the past 24 hours which validates our prediction about active cases trajectory. The problems on the ground continues in 28 critical provinces, especially in 13 “red” ones, hospital beds are full and healthcare staff are exhausted. Basic Reproduction Rate (R0) and growth factors remain above 1, indicating the ongoing crisis for more than 197 days!
