After “Execution of Imam Khomeini’s Order” and Khamenei made their billion dollar from the useless COVIran Barekat and the delay in importing reliable US and UK made vaccines cost thousands of Iranians their lives, Islamic Republic FDA announced Johnson & Jonson COVID-19 vaccines has been granted “emergency use” and can be imported to Iran! At the same time, the Health Minister bragged about the “flood of vaccines” to Iran, while the main question remains: Why not before?
Head of Health Commission at Islamic Consultative Assembly (“parliament”) who had previously admitted Mohammad Mokhber and other “homegrown vaccine” manufacturers have lied about their capabilities, today, asserted the world wants to stop Iran from becoming independent, that’s why they are “giving us vaccines!” Shahriari, whose words are copied from Khamenei and imagining everybody is the “enemy”, stated the country was to manufacture 20m doses within the next 2-3 months. He must be reminded, the current Vice President, Mohammad Mokhber, had promised 50m doses of COVIran Barekat would be produced by September 22.
While Islamic Republic officials are drunken on the “vaccine flood,” and as the fifth wave and Delta variant reach their natural end, with no help from the regime, WHO announced they have suspended Sputnik V’s assessment due to “problems they have found in the manufacturing plants in Russia.” Based on WHO data, none of the vaccines used in Iran except for AstraZeneca, have received final approval from the international body, despite regime’s claims. Today, officials announced 300,000 more Sputnik V and 150,000 AstraZeneca arrived in Tehran.
Eynollahi, Islamic Republic’s Health Minister, continues pressing for schools reopening as soon as possible and claims that students between 7-18 years old will be vaccinated, starting in 2 weeks. He did not mention the names of vaccines to be used but it seems like the meaning of “vaccinated” has remained the same in the new administration as well. It translates to “1 dose” only, which according to studies, it is useless.
According to the Ministry of Health, since February 9, total of 40,302,175 shots have been administered in Iran while only 13,299,855 (15.83% of population) have received both doses of the ineffective vaccines. The Spokesperson also claimed 453 died of COVID-19 and 18,021 tested positive for the novel coronavirus in the past 24 hours. Civil Registration Organization data indicate more than 277,000 have died since February 2020 and Professor Holakoui from Tehran University believes the real figures are 7 times higher than the official ones.
