Sima Sadat Lari continues to spew manipulated and falsified data every day! Today, she announced 2,815 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 and 176 deaths in the past 24 hours! She also mentioned the same 28 provinces that’s been critical in the past 2 months, as critical, 13 in “red” and 15 in “orange” status. However, her boss, Deputy Health Minister Harirchi said there’s no more “red, white, yellow, green, orange.” The whole country must be considered as red! The good news is, both of them agreed on one thing, the increasing number of cases and admissions. They both asked people to follow social distancing protocols and refrain from attending gatherings! Harirchi also said if the situation goes on as is, there will be 200+ deaths every day and more than 45,000 deaths in near future.
On the other hand, after more than 6 months, the organization directly supervised by Khamenei, announced Friday Prayers will be held all across Tehran province tomorrow, September 18! Even though they all say and are proud that “all protocols” will be followed, they don’t care if people have to use public transport to that “fully integrated gathering,” such as Friday Prayers! That means more unnecessary travels in the city, more touching and contacts, and much faster spread of the virus. This has been the story for 7 months.
Rouhani sits back in his chair, boastful about how great “Konkour” was held and that “it could be an international model for other countries,” but denies that has caused many families to contract the deadly novel coronavirus. At the same time, he refused to accept schools reopening has caused any damage, calling Lorestan officials liars for announcing 39 students testing positive for COVID-19 in the first week of in-person schools attendance! His Education Minister went on the record and said there’s no evidence they were infected in school. That’s exactly a look into how reliable, responsible and efficient all officials in Islamic Republic really are.
Another example of chaos in the Ministry which is supposed to help people weather this deadly crisis. Deputy Health Minister in Treatment Affairs clearly states “we shouldn’t be hopeful for a vaccine for now.” He did admit the virus has become more potent and deadlier and said some gatherings have caused a resurgence of the virus! However, he failed to say many experts have warned about Muharram gatherings and their consequences, but all regime wanted was to spread its religious and ideological propaganda! Deputy Health Minister in Research and Technology said a “vaccine has been approved and it provides immunity for a 6-month period.” He didn’t mention of what vaccine or where!
While the third wave has already began in Iran, all due to Islamic Republic’s inaction, lies, cover ups, and repression of true reporting, Rouhani still wants Arbain (40th day of Imam Hossein death) to be commemorated which means crowded gatherings AGAIN! Of course, they all use the same catch phrase, by “following all health protocols.” The same protocols which have been proven ineffective and useless.
Active cases are soaring in already collapsed healthcare system, which means increased deaths in the days to come. Even though graphs are based on the “official” data, they clearly show the ongoing crisis for more than 7 months. Critical cases increased as well, even though they’re widely under-reported.
