The dire situation in Iran due to COVID-19 crisis is getting worse by the minute. Almost all provincial officials have reported multiplied admissions and cases compared to a week before. In the meantime, Saeed Namaki had another dramatic speech, saying if the remainder of 1Billion Euro given to Ministry of Health is going to cause any trouble for the regime, “I don’t want it. My colleagues and myself will work for this regime for free!” After he complained to Rouhani and Khamenei, according to him, CBI has sent the money to the Ministry of Health.
But who knows, maybe this is another way of stalling the fact that there’s no money to pay the staff and instead he uses people’s emotions to work without pay! Thousands of healthcare staff have unpaid wages for as long as 4 months, and apparently they have no say in whether they want their money or how they’re going to live to go to work?! The Health Minister also commented on his letter to the slain Soleimani, saying “I found him the best and purest soul to talk to, because I’m not a political person and maybe I shouldn’t have accepted this job.” Ditto! He also said “we’re not going to be behind EU countries against coronavirus no matter what.” This competitive trait is very good if people’s lives is not on the line and both sides have access to the same infrastructure. There’s no competition between Islamic Republic and ANY other country for that matter.
In the meantime, Ministry of Health officials warn about the 3rd wave being more serious than the previous two, killing 1 Iranian every 7 minutes in the country! That means about 205 deaths in a day. Mahmoud Sadeghi, a former “parliament” member, revealed Islamic Republic had imported 20,000 Favipiravir pills for clinical trials but they were used to treat high ranking officials and the rest of them are still missing! Favipiravir is the same drug which Ministry of Health has been going back and forth about its efficacy!
After more than 222 days into COVID-19 epidemic, the Governor of Tehran proudly announces completion of a “pilot program” in which no service would be given to any person without a mask! This is a pilot program happening in one city in the country of 83,000,000 after thousands have lost their lives to the disease.
Sima Sadat Lari participated in her daily show and presented her fake and manipulated data to keep people calm, preventing any uprising. She announced 3,362 new cases of COVID-19 and 195 deaths in the past 24 hours. Active cases spiked as it’s been the usual case in the past few weeks after Muharram gatherings and schools reopening. Critical cases increased too since people don’t go to hospital till it’s too late, because they can’t afford to go any sooner! They’re trapped in a vicious cycle.
Basic Reproduction Rate (R0) and graphs indicate ever lasting crisis in the country until something real is changed and it appears nothing would until the whole Islamic Republic is toppled.
