The Islamic Republic Health Minister has begun giving “promises” hoping some things have changed since Namaki and other officials used to operate and giving out empty promises about “homegrown vaccines” and “importing of foreign vaccines” which led to Iran’s most horrific days, a widespread COVID-19 massacre which no data source could quantify accurately. Dr. Bahram Eynollahi bragged about the 4.6million-dose shipment of Chinese Sinopharm which arrived today and said 19million more will be imported by the end of next week and 40million by September 22. He implied the sixth wave has already started by saying: “We must have the majority of people vaccinated to contain the sixth wave by November 2021!” He had previously claimed the majority will be vaccinated by February 2022. Health experts have been warning about Lambda variant and the sixth wave, while Delta and fifth are still ongoing.
People and medical experts had thought the Islamic Republic has been importing the Sinopharm produced in Beijing which even though has been cleared for emergency use by the WHO, is ineffective against Delta variant ravaging through Iran. However, in recent days, some have speculated the regime has imported Sinopharm manufactured in Wuhan which is not validated by any international medial agency, and that is why so many fatal breakthrough cases have been reported. Today, Head of the FDA implied the supposition could be true by saying: “We’re investigating the issue!” That could also explain the big shipments the Health Minister is promising!
At the same time, reports of closed vaccination centers are circulating on social media. One citizen journalist from Tehran posted: “I was told to go to the center in the west of Tehran today, but they were closed without prior notice. Why do you disrespect people? Or is this US’ fault too?” His vaccination card indicate the date for his first dose of Sinopharm and for the second one which was scheduled for today!
On the other hand, an official from Tehran Corona Combating Committee said every 6-9months the entire country must receive booster shots against the novel coronavirus for at least the next 2 years! Considering how slow the first couple doses have been administered, the new unknown variants could make the current massacre as a drop in the ocean of bodies.
Ministry of Health claimed total of 28,704,893 shots have been administered in Iran since February 9, while only 9,407,311 (11.19% of population) have received both doses of Sinopharm and COVIran Barekat.

The Spokesperson for the Ministry of Health claimed 561 died of COVID-19 in Iran in the past 24 hours and 27,621 tested positive for the novel coronavirus. Tehran University Professor believes the official numbers must be multiplied by 7, Deputy Health Minister Harirchi admitted the real numbers are “definitely much higher” and the data from Civil Registration Organization show more than 262,000 Iranians have died of the disease since February 2020, while officially that number is 109,549! Graphs also vividly illustrate the ongoing humanitarian crisis and the many waves Iran has been through due to Islamic Republic’s intentional negligence for human life.
