Every day new lies of the Islamic Republic on the COVID-19 situation and vaccination in Iran are uncovered by the regime’s officials themselves! Mohammad Mokhber, current Vice President of the regime and former CEO of “Execution of Imam Khomeini’s Order” which “manufactures” COVIran Barekat, had promised 50million doses of the vaccine by September 22, and together with Saeed Namaki and IRGC Commander-in-Chief were imagining exporting of Iranian vaccines to “poor countries” and the US! However, they have so far has delivered about 8 million to the Ministry of Health! And Dr. Ghane’ei, member of National COVID-19 Task Force, admitted there could be no talk of exporting vaccines for at least another 2 years, since “we need about 80million doses to vaccinate eligible adults.” Ghane’ei also admitted PastoCoVac cannot be mass produced in the country since the required infrastructure doesn’t exit in Iran! He said, it takes 3 months for the machinery to be installed and the Cuban vaccine may be manufactured at industrial level in the winter! Previously, head of Pasteur Institute had claimed 120,000 doses have been delivered to the Ministry.
While Red Crescent Society brags about importing 5million doses of Sinopharm, Golestan, Ahvaz, Tehran,… continue reporting closure of vaccination centers due to shortage. These are from Shush, Ahvaz and Gorgan, with signs reading: “Please do not ask, we’re out of vaccine.” And the closed doors!
Meanwhile, Islamic Republic Health Minister admits there is only a 6-week window to prevent the next wave of coronavirus. Eynollahi emphasized on faster vaccination and said, “the rate must be doubled” and claimed by October 22, the majority of Iranians will be vaccinated! However, he means 1 dose which is not enough and according to studies, it is useless. As usual, Islamic Republic using propaganda to pursue its goals. Eynollahi also claimed “most services” in the future will be conditional on vaccination status of people. He used “Arbaeen march to Iraq” as one of these “services!” However, he failed to mention anything about teachers and students, as most of them are not vaccinated yet, and the regime insists on reopening schools within a few weeks.
On the other hand, Delta continues to ravage through Iran. As “black fungus” cases continue to rise, the medication to treat it has become scarce and some have started selling a fake substitute, endangering patients’ lives, while Islamic Republic pushes for useless medicines and fails to provide life-saving simple medications. At the same time, talks of Lambda reaching Iran gets louder. With another potential wave on the way, healthcare staff are fed up with lack of support from officials, more than the overwhelming number of cases.
Ministry of Health claims 29,152,527 total shots have been administered since February 9 while only 9,684,669 (11.52% of Iran population) have received both jabs of the ineffective and questionable vaccines.
The Ministry of Health Spokesperson announced 610 died of COVID-19 in Iran in the past 24 hours and 25,870 tested positive for the novel coronavirus. Deputy Health Minister Harirchi admitted the real numbers are “definitely much higher,” Professor Holakoui from Tehran University believes the numbers must be multiplied by 7 and Civil Registration Organization data shows more than 264,000 have died of the disease since February 2020.
