The schools reopening saga continues! After an initial going back on his words, Education Minister became more agitated in his press release and threatened schools, “Nobody is allowed to make in-person classes mandatory.” Himself was the one announcing it on Thursday, 2 days before schools reopen! However, after the huge backlash from representatives and parents, after health officials questioned the sanity of such decision, after the private schools collected their tuition fees and some students collapses on the ground in a school yard and one student died, he said it is not mandatory anymore, even though in-person classes are available to students if parents choose to do so!
And a video where a student says, “today is Sunday, September 6, a student from our school has died of COVID-19 and now everybody is scared! “Imam Ali school, District 18″.”
On the other hand, Sima Sadat Lari announces 2,152 new cases of novel coronavirus infections in the country and 117 deaths in the past 24 hours. That’s the highest number of infections in the past 10 days, even though it’s been proved previously that the numbers have been manipulated systematically and some have claimed the real numbers are 20 times higher! It’s also worth noting that today marks 10 days after Ashura and end of Muharram gatherings! The same 28 provinces remain critical while Rouhani is proud of his achievements during his 2 terms as president of the Islamic Republic!
The Graphs indicate the unstoppable coronavirus in the most hospitable environment it has found in the world due to Islamic Republic’s inaction, mismanagement and even at times decision which have made the situation worse just to follow religious ideologies! Active cases on the rise and hospitals continue to struggle with the overflow of patients!
