Iran Coronavirus – System Failure

The system is so rotten and inefficient that Jahanpur could be considered as the ideal Spokesperson for its Ministry of Health. Islamic Republic is so incompetent that can't even double check tally of 2 numbers that affect millions of people in the country.

Today, Sima Sadat Lari made us miss her predecessor Kianoush Jahanpur! The system is so rotten and inefficient that Jahanpur could be considered as the ideal Spokesperson for its Ministry of Health.

Yesterday, the total number of cases in Iran was 177,938,

and today, there are 2,238 new cases, bringing the total to: 180,176!

However, she announced the total confirmed cases as 180,156!

This gaffe was reflected in all state-owned media, including the official government news agency, IRNA!

Her howler has gone all the way to WHO, Johns Hopkins and Worldometer websites causing confusion and trouble.

As usual, at a certain time, the Spokesperson appeared in front of cameras with a big board behind her, showing the coronavirus status in Iran.

IRNA even reported the day as Tuesday, instead of Thursday. It took them more than 40 minutes to correct the total number in their text but it didn’t stop the international websites to pick up the wrong data.

Another proof that Islamic Republic is so incompetent that can’t even double check tally of 2 numbers that affect millions of people in the country. Also, make us believe that Lari was appointed for one reason: Do what you are told and don’t ask question!

In Iran, however, those days are over. Iranians have figured out regime's ruse as shown it in the November 2019 protests chanting: "Reformist, hardliner, the game is over!"
