1The Actor Shamed Across the Nation
Parviz Parastui, a state-sponsored celebrity and a close friend of Qassem Soleimani, flew to LA for screening of “1001 Days” film. However, Iranian dissidents in the US pointed out his silence during November 2019 protests when more than 1500 Iranians were killed by the regime. He assaulted one of the activists, Sam Rajabi, which has become the hot topic for Islamic Republic propaganda network inside and outside the country. NIAC, CodePink and other propagandists in the west together with the IRGC and state-owned media in Iran, continue posting “articles” in support of the “hero and patriot, Parastui!” On social media, cyber army of the regime praise PP for his violent behavior while claiming he’s free to believe in whatever he wants and “must be respected!” On the other hand, dissidents continue to share more videos showing Parviz Parastui and his companions insulting the activists and bullying them with violent language. Meanwhile, other actors who have come in support of PP, have also been shamed by Iranians. The regime media applaud the violence by Parviz Parastui because he was questioned about his relation with Qassem Soleimani and nationwide protests.
26lbs Red Meat…
Is how much meat an average Iranian could eat in a year! To put it in context, 30 years ago, Chinese could eat 10lbs per year and now use 106lbs! Price of various grains has jumped by up to 120%, pasta and rice by 4 times. Considering widespread poverty in the country, most people use grains as their main food which are becoming more unaffordable by the day. Ebrahim Raisi had promised to “eradicate poverty” in Iran during his presidential “campaign!” Today, Vice President Mokhber, repeated the claim! However, 9 months after Raisi’s takeover, stats and prices in the market, tell a different story.
3“Drones have increased Iran’s influence!”
This is the title of one of TasnimNews “reports.” It includes images of “Jenin” drones unveiled by Saraya Al-Quds, military branch of “The Islamic Jihad Movement”. The report suggests it has been copied from “an unknown drone of the Islamic Republic!”
4Swedish Ambassador Summoned
Islamic Republic Foreign Ministry demanded the ambassador to deliver “utmost objection” of the regime in Tehran to his government about Hamid Nouri’s court proceedings. The regime has demanded the Sweds to stop the mass murderer to be released immediately. He is on trial for participating in political prisoners massacre in Iran in 1980s. IRGC-affiliated media has begun bad-mouthing Sweden as the base for “anti-Islamists!”
5Teachers Arrested for Protesting for Their Rights
Nationwide protests of Teachers turned into beatings in at least Bushehr and Marivan. Several teachers were arrested amid the protests or were taken away from their homes. Teachers Union officials say until the government does not stop harassing activists, release every one of them and negotiate to meet their demands, the protests will continue.
6Air Pollution Shuts Down the Province
Khuzestan, once again, is shut down due to “sand storm,” a multi-decade problem which has never been addressed by the officials. Meanwhile, experts warn that Karkheh Dam is almost dried up. “The current useful sources may have enough drinking water for residents of the province only until December!”
72 More Kolbars Shot
Islamic Republic border agents have been targeting Kolbars (cross-border labor) for years. In the past few days, in Newsud, Kermanshah, several have been wounded and 1 was killed by the agents.
