1Inflation in Iran Out of Regime’s Control
Head of Babol Rice Sellers Union said government ordering producers to fix their prices has led to shortage of supply and increasing the price to more than double. Can products are going to be 300% more expensive in near future with removal of the subsidized currency and shortage of industrial oil. Experts warn that if the current path continues, and “the Islamic Republic does not have relations with international banks”, Iranians would face 3-digit inflation rate.
2“Tomb Stone Must Be Approved!”
Family of Mehdi Salehi, political prisoner who died in prison after being deprived of medical care, has been under pressure for not holding any memorial and even his tomb stone “must be approved by the security forces” of the regime. Mehdi Salehi was buried 6AM on Firday, Apri 15, by the immediate family and under heavy presence of Islamic Republic oppressive forces.
3Alireza Saghafi Deprived of Medical Care
The labor activist, who is serving his 1-year sentence in Karaj prison, suffers from high blood pressure but not provided any medical care by the Islamic Republic officials and has been refused hospital transfer. At the same time, 2 other labor activists were arrested: Amir Abbasi, Morteza Seydi.
4Another Physical Abuse Case in Schools
The recent wave of physical abuses in schools of the Islamic Republic has caused concern among sociologists. A vice-principal in a school in Fars province hit a 16-year-old student, named Ali Shoja’, so hard that he hit his head on the floor and lost consciousness. He was hit because “his hair was long!” He’s reportedly in stable condition.
5Eating in Ramadan
7 were arrested in Tehran and Rey counties in the past 2 days alone! More than 180 shops received citation because “they were not following Ramadan code!” Islamic Republic AG had ordered “dealing with people who eat in public during Ramadan, even in their cars!”
6Internet Protection Plan
The plan which gives security and intelligence apparatuses of the regime full control of the internet in Iran and requires every user to register and identify him/herself, is sent to “Supreme Cyberspace Council” for another revision. The plan has caused a lot of backlash by Iranians.
7Saeedeh Khozouei Kept at Unknown Location
The Baha’i citizen was arrested 5 days ago. Her family has no knowledge of her condition or location. Baha’is are deprived basic rights such as education in Iran.
8Staggering Child Marriage Stats
During last Fall, 11,235 children under 15 got married in Iran and more than 600 have been divorced! Thousands of pregnancies in the mothers under 18, poverty, dropping out of school and depression are just a few of damages caused by the Islamic Republic laws on child marriage.
9More Cities are “Red” Again
Ministry of Health upgraded 21 more cities to “red”, highest risk areas with most hospitalizations per 100,000, bringing the total to 55 across the country. “Orange” cities are also increased to 84 from 69. Dr. Alavi of Ahvaz Medical University admitted 54% of Khuzestan residents have delays in receiving their 3rd dose of vaccines. He criticized the schools in their lack of following the protocols. Meanwhile, the theocratic regime is preparing for “Qadr nights” and holding crowded religious gatherings. “Qadr nights” have been one of the major reasons for a consequent wave in COVID-19 patients in the past 2 years. According to official data, only 26,719,467 (31.80% of Iran population) have received 3 doses, mainly Sinopharm and COVIran Barekat.
