The recent wave of physical abuses in schools of the Islamic Republic has caused concern among sociologists. A vice-principal in a school in Fars province hit a 16-year-old student, named Ali Shoja’, so hard that he hit his head on the floor and lost consciousness. He was hit because “his hair was long!” He’s reportedly in stable condition.

More Cities are “Red” Again

Ministry of Health upgraded 21 more cities to “red”, highest risk areas with most hospitalizations per 100,000, bringing the total to 55 across the country. “Orange” cities are also increased to 84 from 69. Dr. Alavi of Ahvaz Medical University admitted 54% of Khuzestan residents have delays in receiving their 3rd dose of vaccines. He criticized the schools in their lack of following the protocols. Meanwhile, the theocratic regime is preparing for “Qadr nights” and holding crowded religious gatherings. “Qadr nights” have been one of the major reasons for a consequent wave in COVID-19 patients in the past 2 years. According to official data, only 26,719,467 (31.80% of Iran population) have received 3 doses, mainly Sinopharm and COVIran Barekat.
